I’m debating between the - 2010 Rapture V2 iron set (L48+) or the K15 iron set (L38+) iron set

Meter speed is important to me, so I’ve ruled out a few of the 'better' ones with higher meter speeds. Any thoughts or advice about this choice?

They both have the same speed but the raptures are more accurate and as such are worth just the few cents difference in the price. When I started on here I thought I'd never get used to the faster meters but after a while I found them ok, and I'm getting on in years. Good luck in whatever you decide.

Thanks for feedback. I went with the Rapture V2 L+48 and played a round or so with them.

The first thing I noticed was that they were a little shorter as in, the stated yards to actual yards compared to the burners I was using. I did manage to match my lowest round though so I think they're going to work out nicely.

Good choice, the Raptures are great clubs. At some point you'll probably want something like G10's though, the length and high flight makes a massive difference at BPB and Oakmont. The meter is quicker but they're surprisingly forgiving and I now have the same meter speed for all clubs except putter.

Enjoy the Raptures as long as you can though, they're really nice to play with. I don't recall them hitting under their yardage but I tend to use Tour SD balls so maybe that made the difference.

One more level and you can get the Daytona putter. Then you'll have a perfect set for a tour pro.

I progressed from the lower level Rapture's, to the K15's, and finally top level Raptures.  Same reason as you, for the slower meter speed.  Great set of clubs and I'd recommend them to anyone.  I always found that I was hitting about 5 yrs avg further rather than shorter.  You didn't mention what balls you use but I use the Callaway S's.  They will give you a bit more yardage and slow the meter a bit as well.

Now I'm getting close to moving up to the Master tier so I know I'm going to need a bit more distance off the tee and am working with the R9 driver.  Will take me a little time to get the meter down but I'm confident its going to improve my game when I do.

Good luck, have fun, hit well!

A Golfer has been slicing off the tee on every hole.

He asks his Irish caddy if he has noticed any obvious reasons for his poor tee shots, to which the caddy replies:

"Aye, there's a piece of *** on the end of your driver. "

The Golfer picks up his driver and cleans the club face, at which point the caddy says:

    "No, the other end."
