With all the clubs that are now being offered to low tiers, is it really a level playing field for all players?  Coupled with you know what, these players can potentially wipe the floor with the best Legends on WGT.  As an example, I just went to play the Wk17 CTTH but decided to have a look at what scores were in first.  The leading Hack has scored 79.41 and has only been here 1 week!!!  I haven't managed to get anywhere near that in the 6 months I've been here.

I know WGT want to be making money from all players, but surely, if you are going to allow low level tiers to buy quality clubs then you have at least got to limit what they can enter and win.  I can see these players entering Ready Go's (the above player already has!) and will very soon be winning everything.  By making such clubs and balls available to low tiers WGT are effectively encouraging multi-accounting and sandbagging to a greater extent... AGAIN!

By all means make clubs available, but not ones that make these players look like experts and they're not even out of nappies!  Oh, and by the way, that person hasn't actually bought any equipment themselves yet but already using R11 woods, Satin wedges, Taylor Made irons and an $8 avatar!!!

    This has been often discussed.

Two things that I can add that should allay your fears.

    1) Look at the current month earnings table. The top 30 places and more are dominated by Legends. In fact on my last review around 90 of the top 100 were Legends.

    2) From what I can see on most CTTH competitions the best scores don't win the prizes. It is given to a random pick from all those that have entered. IMHO that renders CTTH worthless. If you want to practice approach shots - play Blitz. I finished something like 7th in a Bethpage CTTH once, zilch - not a cent. I use them to grab those 880 XP points if I haven't time to play a round.

There is no substitute for days and days of practice. Some of the Legends/TMs are great natural players of this game. Some from almost the first game. Others get there by doggesd practice.

I avoid the weekly and monthly unlimited tournos that contain sandbaggers - although most of those are tiered anyway. I haven't the time to compete against people who keep quitting until they are -3 after the first three holes. Good luck to them if that's how to get the prizes - but life is too short, and that's not enjoyable for me.

95% of hacks, amateurs, pros and tour pros may be able to buy the equipment, but shooting low scores with it is a different matter. The hack scoring as you said has probably been here under a different name to learn the courses - or he/she hit 9 good approaches after a good spell of practice.

Well said Peter. There are a lot of born agains on here, as soon as they reach a tier where they can't win anymore, they start again under a different name. I recently played against someone in a tournament that had more birdies than pars on his stats and a driving average of 290 yards. Well that just isn't possible if they had started from scratch.

I hear ya Piz, seems every time I went to a blitz they were pros or lower with starter clubs and balls, they made me look like a hack, I never got snotty, always gave congrats on good shots and simply asked, Why haven't you moved up or imagine what you could do with better equip. That's when they would get a nasty attitude and the fun of the game went south. Now I only play with Master or higher and it is fun again. I was a lot better as a TP than I have been as a Master but I keep poking at it and have only 1 account. Some of the best players on here are my friends and they lend a lot of encouragement.

...  I'm not here to police people or anything of the sort, but  i got bored...... ....... So,,,  after digging around for 30 seconds I found that the female "Rum n Coca Cola" gal gifted 'all' clubs n balls belonging now to this pretty smart player....  Its also a coincidence that the 'male' player received his outfit on the same day he started from Ms Cola..  & these two it would appear, have never played together in an alternate game or had any other correspondence preceding these 'gifts'..??????..   & the fact  there both English you say..?.. just another coincidence, or just 'maybe' there pals..??????        It also seems that theres more 'potentially' implicated people in all this too, (LOL) as she's friends with you 'MioKontic' n 'WGTicon' & many many more 'good' people.. .. .. .. Question now poses, who bought all these people's clubs..(LOL)????     Its all fun, just a game LOL.. .. .. but if what we read into this is true, than it could be bigger than 'WATERGATE' !!!!!!!!!!!!

Other issues aside, WGT has got to find a way to police multiple-account abuse more effectively.
