I'm not sure if this would be considered a bug or not because I do realize there's a pond alongside the green that probably made the camera angles difficult, but this occurred to me today while putting on the No. 6 green at Congressional.

It took me a good 2-3 minutes to finally get the putt lined up, though it was mostly a guess. I kept clicking on the camera to get a reverse angle and nothing. I then moved the triangle around in circles twirling my avatar like a ballerina to no avail. I just kept clicking on the arrows and the camera until I finally got my player to face the pin. Even then it was tough to line up. Just aimed to outside of the cup and gave it a whack.

I did make the putt so all is well.

Due to the water, you might not get a straight view from the back on this putt.

I'd call the avatar's orientation a flaw, and methinks it has nothing to do with the water. To line up the avatar, you might try to override the picture. Select Scorecard or Replay and hope for the best when you return.

Alas, it doesn't obscure the shot, because the marker defines the direction. If you apply the shot from your pic, the putting movement will be towards the camera but the ball will roll "through his feet" towards the hole.

Same may happen with other shots. The avatar may face backwards, appearing as wrong-handed, but the stroke will follow the marker.

After all, it's just a video game ;)

Correct, it can get difficult. I had a hell of a job lining up this shot...

    Cheers!

    Rich.

Hi Nicklaus Juck  , I ve had similar experiences as well.

Theres also another situation wgt appears to be employing non golfing camera persons who have no interest or understanding of the game .No matter howmany time you twirl the ballera can you get a straight view to line up a putt

As mentioned above, reverse your view. You will hit this on Kiawah and some other situations. I usually just click the camera
