To send a friend request, go to someones profile, and click on "Add to Friends" on the top right of the profile. And to play a multi-game with someone, that person must be online, if you decide to play against someone, you must go to their profile, and click on "Invite to Play". Then the game screen would pop out (if not, already), then you'll see some settings for the multi-game. And though should be all for that subject...
