  I would be nice to be able have the capability once you reach a certain level to be able to reshoot a "server lag" mulligan. My computer rarely lags and I have incredible bandwidth and I was putting a 4 foot gimme for birdie. Swing meter completely lagged. I over shot the hole by 6 feet and ended up with a double bogey. If I screw up that's on me. But maybe there should be an option to build up mulligans. like maybe one per 5 or  full rounds just to offset server lags. It's happened to me before but never at that critical of a moment.

  It'll never happen, there's no way to restrict it to meter lag misses only.

  And I thought the meter only gives trouble on the way back to the ding point, if you hit 6 feet past then you'd over hit it, plain and simple. Meter lag didn't cause that.

  it  can happen  going  either  way  on the  backswing  or the  downswing

  Yes it can, MM. You can have a meter stall forcing an early click where the click registers after the meter unstalls itself, often at light speed as if to make up for the stall. LOL, dumb but probably the way it went down.

  It would be nice on the mulligan thing but that'll never happen. Something that might go over would be an option in a multi player game that would allow a do-over if the opp allowed it.

  My apologies to the OP, I've never seen that before. I've only ever had lag on the way back down, didn't think it happened on the backswing.

  Mulligans are for friendly games, they have no place in competition golf.

  Haha. Does anyone here seriously think that what we/re playing here would be considered "competitive golf"?  :)

  Just saying that I've had a few server lags and most of them are just annoyances but on occasion there is one that just throws the entire shot off. If in real life Iif  heard thunder on the course and duckhooked my shot into the woods my friends would probably laugh their ass off. However, if I was struck by lightning on my backswing they would probably give me another shot. But wait....I forgot....this is "competitive golf". ;)
