Does the wind direction change for every player in Ready Goes? Or is it the same exact wind direction on every hole for everyone? I'm not asking about wind strength. I'm asking about direction.

If it's random, it shouldn't be. It should be the same for everyone in the tournament. IMO.

For instance; One player gets a 25mph head wind on #4 and #13 but #9 and #18 are downwind but for another player it's just the opposite. Who do you think has the advantage there?

I usually just sit at the tee box and wait for the wind to change in my favor :-P

I had wondered the same.  Also curious if wind is consistent over a round, or if it resets randomly for each hole.  If you have a 20 MPH R to L crosswind on #1 at St. Andrews, will that give you an idea of the winds on the course that day, especially if you know the layout, or does the wind reset randomly for each hole?

I was on the tee at st andrews #16th for an hour earlier waiting for the 30 mph left to right wind to change to tailwind, but didn't happen, in the end i lost a ball to O.O.B, and wasted an hour.....
