  I'm a Tour Pro, level 54.  I had a 69.8 average going into the weekly Tournament 18 at BethPage, where I shot a 62, loweringmy average to 69.  I then shot a 72 in the Monthly Unlimited at BPB, and my average dropped to 68.92?  What gives?  I am... familiar... with math, but no math I am familiar with does your average drop when you shoot above average.

   

  Edit:  I just think I figured it out.  They use your best (x) scores, so apparently the 72 wiped out a higher score?

  It used to be best 10 out of last 14.

  Gotcha!  No problem.  That does make any particularly bad rounds less impactful.  So should I just have one of those days where I shoot 80, my average may not change at all?

  I guess it also prevents someone shooting an intentionally high score to raise their average for cushion.  I have to admit, I was thinking about that when looking at that 62.  I really am tempted to go after the leaderboard on that unlimited, but I don't think my clubs are prepared for master tier yet, and if I shoot a bunch of low 60s before I hit 58 and get longer off the tees, I may jump.  I can shoot mid-low 60s on BPB pretty regularly.  A great game often swings on whether I can get through #15 unscathed.

  Haha, I could just play a couple of rounds on that one Oakmont free monthly on the tournament greens, shoot a couple legit high 70s rounds.  Those greens are evil when you are hitting long irons to greens.  Gimme 58 and another 15-20 off the tees.

  IMO you're worrying about the wrong things. Pretend there's no average involved and go shoot what you shoot. The more you play the better you get and then you find that what you have works just fine until you get bored with them. Who knows, you may never get bored. Just don't "not" do something for fear of advancing.  :-)

  Well, I don't want to get any longer tees when I am just now figuring out how to putt *laughs*, or effectively longer with more wind.

  longer tees are not as bad as you think. moving to Master the greens DO NOT change. basicly it is a longer approach shot you have to deal with AND no "free" birdies on the shorter par 4 and par 5's

  Each tee you move to does that. You get comfortable and good at the up close shots and are a happy clam. Then you get good enough at that to the almost bored point and bang, you move to a bigger boy's tee and get to learn your next set of shots-the longer, harder mid irons.

  Your short game is still there, that doesn't change, just how often you get to use it does. Now instead of getting close for a birdie you're trying to get close to save par. Pretty soon you get the hang of it and you're back at the easy shots-the ones you knew and the ones you just learned from the new tees.

  Bored yet? LOL Here it comes....you're smoking the courses and living large but the big boys are waiting for you. You'll get there. You'll master those shots and get to the point where you're beating up on the courses and then bang, new tees-Big Boy Golf jumps up and grabs you by the putter and says now it's time to learn the really hard irons, woods and HBs and how to salvage par. Then you'll be where you need to be and you'll be ready for it. GL

  This isn't exactly a bug for golfing, but is there anyway to stop the intro music?  While it's nice, very annoying.  The reason I say that is because I have other applications running on my computer and can't hear over this dog gone music when you sign in.  Yes, I know it stops when playing, but what about if you are doing other things on comp and not playing?

  Yea, I know I can turn sound down on comp but why should I have too?  Thanks for any suggestions!!!

  On the main menu screen - Hover over the speaker icon in the lower right hand corner - You will see a Musical Note at the top of the volume level bar, click it, that should do it.

  FYI - Muting the music turns off the heartbeat in CTTH...
