NIGAP2:All balls are also rated on durability. Is it possible that after using the same ball for so many games that it becomes unplayable and therefore changes to the next one??

The criteria is "number of strokes", except for putts on the green which do not count.
Durability is a vague reference to different max. numbers which may lie in the range of 80 to 125 hits per ball.
