Can anyone tell me how the h-ll to use chip and such? Please do something about it so that it's possible to make a shot when you are around the green and not using a full shot.

Ive seen lots of players using full shot instead of chip/pitch, is this really what you want?
The problem (which is also in bunker) is that the ball dont lift enough so it gets stuck in the rough. Even the flop which I now usese all the time around the green dont lift enough if im like 5 yards from green. It still rolls WAY more than it fly which I dont think should be the purpose of a flop???

I HATE when I miss the green on this game becuase I know I will end up with like 3 shots before reaching green from say 10 yards lol. If I dont get lucky..

Guess this issue has been up before becuase everyone MUST think this is terrible, maybe except from all the people think WGT staff are Gods lol.

Hope you will do something about this!

Eli-You're killing yourself trying to execute those shots with starter clubs. They'll never be what you need from those positions. The Chip and Pitch Tips is where you go to understand those shots. It's long and comprehensive but it covers everything you need and is a must read if you want to get good with these shots.

The one club that will make the greatest difference in all of those shots, and your game, is the Satin 64w. It's only 250 credits and you're leveled up enough to get it. You can chip 6 yards, pitch 13, flop 15 and punch 41. In fact, it turns a lot of your flops into pitches out of sand. That's a lot of up close coverage for one club and it is very easy to learn. I think it will make you happy.  GL

Have you read through the "how to pitch and chip tips" guide?

Edit:  Jim brings up a good point, I didn't notice you were using starter clubs.

The bottom line with saving strokes around the green is that you have to be able to play all the alternative shots well. You have to get proficient at chipping, pitching, using the flop shot and being able to punch. There is no quick fix that will see you go from average to excellent, you have to put in the practice and know what type of shot to use in any given situation.

Pitching can be inconsistent from green to green. When it is you have to make a mental note of how you played the shot and adjust the next time you are there. Keep written notes if you cannot remember. Chipping is as much about your ability to read the green as it is in the execution of the shot. The flop shot is probably the easiest to get good at but if you use it all the time you are not giving yourself the best chance of holing the shot in many situations.

Bunker play again is about using a variety of shots depending on the lie, elevation of the green, how much green you have to work with etc. You can play punch and pitch shots out of the bunker as well as flop and full shots. Don't expect the ball to react exactly as the distance indicator says it will on every green, it wont.

Practice, practice and more practice is the only answer. That and making notes in order to learn from your mistakes. Sorry I cannot be any the more helpful than that.

Thanks for all the help. Will try to look at the tips and trix.

But aren't you having any trouble at all with the around the green shots? I meen for me the "reading green" part isnt the hard. It is to get the ball in the air and forward at all!

It's not that I'm bad at it, I've tried all kind of shots and tactics, but it's just that it's impossible to excecute the shots.
Guess WGT has made it this impossible to score if you miss the green on purpose just to make us buy new clubs..

Because with the starter clubs which I've kind of mastered lol, it's impossible to make a good shot (especially from the bunker with little green to work with) around green.

Read the guide and then see if it makes sense. It should help with most questions.

Go back and read Yankee Jim's post Eli the way to solve your problems lie in the satin 64 wedge. You will never get any better until you buy some better clubs.  GOOD LUCK...
