Consider these things: Kiawah was the very first 9 hole stroke play course, then came the back nine. That was two years ago. It was all we had. As time moved forward, as it does, the tees moved back, gradually at first, but now at Legend level, they are at the tips. Also, two years ago, you were stuck with the freebie balls, and everyone had the green driver or could buy a TM that went 235. Then came more exotic ball choices along with a larger selection of drivers, 3 woods, hybrids and irons to suit any player. The point is this, if you take a Legend player with the fine clubs and fine balls, plus two years of experience, and let them play from the low range tees...Presto! Crazy low scores. I know that I Eagled #2 & #7 in the same game, because I had short irons into the green for the second shot. Frankly, I'm surprised the scores are not lower.
