Just played Royal St. George for the first time and it seems to be a tough but fun layout. I encountered several problems that cost me strokes (no, not my flaws..lol). On the 180 yard par 3 on the front, I had wind slightly in my face and to the right. I aimed ever so slightly left of the pin. I hit the dinger perfectly and ended up in the left bunker. On the par five on the back, I had wind at my back perfectly. I aimed right at the flag with a three wood, hit the dinger and ended up in the left greenside bunker again. There were a couple of others but I cannot remember the holes. Disappointing to hit a perfect shot and end up WAY off where you aimed. I know I will play it lots more but trying to remember all the quirks will be very hard. Need a quirk book just like tour players carry yardage books.
