Personally I have no issue with playing with lower tiers and it can make a game entertaining.
I will happily offer advice if they want it but not every player wants to learn, or learn by their mistakes. If they go for a green when they have zero chance.....I am fine with that and often gives me chances to play shots I would normally never play....as I said, it is entertaining.
But I always ask prior to teeing off, that if they want advice or tips, to ask. Sometimes I will say after a shot, what they could have done better, but again, only if they have asked for tips.
Playing with randoms is fine, but you do take a significantly increased risk of finding quitters.
When I started, I would play with higher tiers and most would be very willing to help when asked.
What I do not like is when a player tries to tell a lower level player what to do.......and constantly - it is very condescending, And like I said, often the best lesson they can have is by making mistakes - we have all been there....sadly, that is where I am still!
