    Is there a way to look up who I have played before in a one-on-one competition?

    Yes, if it was Match Play. Go to your profile, click on Stats and look under the Match Play option. You'll see your MP record and who you played. Unfortunately, this is only for Match Play and I suspect you're looking for stroke play given you have zero matches played.  :(

    ranked match play...it is possible to play practice match which is the default and shows no record

    It mostly shows a tiered summary like "vs. Legend 256 / 133". Furthermore, friends' results are noted individually.
