I was playing a challenge match at Kia back 9 earlier against a TM.  On my approach on 10 i landed about 4 foot from hole, but noticed on my putt, the reverse angle wasn't working, screen was blank.  I can't judge putts with front view (especially at Kiwah), and missed the 4 footer, and landed 4 foot past, i even missed this shot aswell, loosing hole.

I asked my opponent if i could drop match because every camera angle exept front view was blank. He declined to drop match knowing i was even more handicapped, and having won the first hole. Due to me not being able to judge putts, he won 11 & 12.  By now i got annoyed,3-0 down and my opponent loving it, i decided to try and disconect to re-boot.  I re-joined the game, but my reverse angle was still not working.

I managed to win 13 due to my opponents bogey, but my luck was in as my reverse angle & other camera angles came back to life.  Due to me being able to judge putts at last, i won 2 more holes, and after landing 2 yards from pin on 17th, and then sinking the putt,i'd come from 3-0 down to being 1 up.  If only my opponent had dropped the match when i asked instead of thinking it was easy $$ for him due to my handicap, now he's ended up loosing. ☺

What would you have done, dropped match when you're 1 up, or carried on to hopefully beat me??

In my opinion any decent player would have dropped the match as you were obviously  handicapped through no fault of your own .maybe they saw you as a scalp or easy $$ lol im glad it worked out in the end .well played

I've dropped a match before now because some one's packed the wrong balls, I even dropped a match after being even with my opponent, and 5 holes into the play off, i landed within 2 yards on approach, while my opponent was in bunker just because it was such an intense match and i felt unfair any one loosing.

I'd have dropped the match if asked, if I understood the explanation.

I've had Legends (even before I was a Legend) drop matches when they were ahead when I was having meter issues (obvious by duffed shots) and also when I forgot to reload balls and have been stuck with starters.

But, I also can understand someone not dropping the match, i/e they don't believe you have problems, etc, and choose to just play it out.
