Inches off the fringe, less than a yard from the green, 8yds from the pin, downhill. The ball goes inches and the divot goes further than the ball. What's the alternative? More power and go 12yds past the hole? This is an obvious glitch. I notice there are other posts on this so why not fix it?

Hard to say. Is it actual rough? Or fairway? What percentage of the club's strength are you using?

Semi-rough, greenside. Due to proximity of pin and green sloping away, 50% of strength and that was more than I should have needed to use. Any more and the ball would be in the rough on the other side of the green.

Next shot, pitched instead. Same result.

So it sounds like 20/25% rough, which is still rough. The rule of thumb is that from the rough you need to hit with at least 70% strength, otherwise you may not advance the ball. (WGT recently improved the fringe, but not the rough.)

And the same again. Greenside semi-rough, less than a foot from the fringe, 7yds to the pin downhill. Anything more than 50% and the ball will go through the back of the green. 5 chips to get out of the semi-rough on to the green!!! Divot goes further than the ball.

That is why I would NEVER spend money to play WGT. I'll save my money to buy an EA game instead. Even a second hand EA game off Ebay is cheaper than this and it will have better programming.
