One thing that I feel should be addressed is the fact that you can rarely get a straight, down the line, putting view from behind the cup looking at the ball. In the real world, you can get a full 360 view of the putt. While a full 360 change may not be feasible, I think a straight down the line from both sides should be doable.

They take pictures from different areas. Try reversing the view and see if that helps.

There are a lot of holes, especially on Kiawah that you have to reverse the view to aim and shoot.

In the mobile app, there's a version of 360-degree view. It's called green view. Maybe they'll be eventually able to incorporate into the PC version.

That might be one of the top 3 worst features of this game.

It comes as an effect of taking pictures of the course to make it realistic but w/ the downfall of skewed avatars, unlike modern golf games where you can go straight on, or even around from all angles.

I always use "green view" as well as both forward and back views as I am not a great putter, but I am annoyed that my avatar is often blocking my view.  Why not eliminate the avatar and just leave the putter there, or the ball even.  My bigger complaint though is the inadequate view of the break on the green when approaching.

I had looked at green view before, but I went back on my last round and it does seem to hold some promise. I still think a down the line view from the cup back to the ball would be a great addition and would speed up play.

Tried the green view this evening. Not bad, but ai think a straight view from the cup back to the ball would be better.

In the web version in advanced settings there is one called avatar angles. Turn that on and you should get a better view of the putting line. No it’s not perfect but it is better.
