    I would like to see the ability to use irons/hybrids/woods off the tee and for it to count towards driving accuracy.  It would be fun to hit more creative shots off the tee on shorter par 4's just as pros do IRL.  It makes no sense to me why these clubs don't count towards the driving accuracy %.  The meter speeds can be just as fast as the driver and if you hit the fairway with those clubs out in the real world you are given the fairway percentage.

    For those of you who have seen my bug report on st. george's course, I've known about the driver only counting towards accuracy % for quite a while, so that's not the reason there.  Just finally getting around to making a post about it.

    I can't be alone on this one. RIGHT?

    Found this on the PGA Tour website.

    That's the driving accuracy on the PGA Tour in 2011. If you scroll right down to the bottom of the page, it states how driving accuracy is calculated on the PGA Tour.

    "The percentage of time a tee shot comes to rest in the fairway (regardless of club). (102)"

    That is how the PGA Tour calculates driving accuracy.

    So every time I have hit a 3 wood off the tee it didn't count?  What's up with that?

    that may change now that someone knows the ruling,I think a book is needed in the program dept.one one ball flite theory

    So, 2 years since I made this aware to WGT, I noticed a couple days ago you can now use Irons, woods, etc off the tee and it will count towards your Driving Accuracy %.  There were others before me ofc.  I am not sure when this was changed, assuming very recently.

    I am very happy about this and it may bring new hopes for me to start playing the game more.  Basically, burnt out and bored.  I watch the pros on tv and they don't use the driver on every hole.  Now I can hit some of the shots that they do off the tees and it'll feel good plus it won't hurt my stats no more.  I don't understand why wgt didn't make a little announcement about this... it may bring new light to my game, so it stinks that they kept it on the hush hush.

    ahh i wonderd that. so thats when i take a 3 wood of the tee at the 7th at st andy's it doesent count     interesting
