And then there is the man who walks straight in northern direction, until, from one step to the next, he heads South, without reversing.

a person is either left or right footed

this would be his or hers strongest leg

therefore without guiding tools everyone walks in a circle

either left handed or a right handed circle

Is this also the reason why I'm forever nearly bumping into people in the street, because when I'm approaching someone who's walking towards me, we almost always step to the same side of the path, aaargh! Lol.  : )

    Didn't exclude a guiding tool, a line, a rope, a GPS, a marking pole...

The whole exercise may be done over no more than 20 meters.

it is impossible to walk in a straight line. and if he did he would leave earth and be headed into outer space. Even a rocket ship would not go in a straight line.

no he would not double back on himself. only some outside force could cause him to double back on himself (gravity, the movement of the universe), but then that would not be a straight line.
