No way it's happening there, Jordan. For starters, you're trying to make the ball back up a slope. That green slopes down to the left as you can see from that roll after landing. What you want to be doing is stopping that ball, not trying to back it up. This is where the spin that those lower G10s have will really help you.

Learn to use the spin to control where the ball stops. Hit a shot without it, turn around and hit it back to where you were and hit it with full back spin. Then turn around a hit back to where you were and hit the shot with full top spin. This is how you learn what you can do with your irons. Learn them this way and you'll discover that spinning the ball back is not all that it is cracked up to be. Yeah sure, it's cool to see balls spinning backwards to within a foot of the cup but that's a fantasy for the majority and doesn't happen often. A good iron player is going to use that spin capability to stick the ball where he wants it.

That actually rolled less than some shots on kiawah and STA.

I have the g10 pro irons set and i must say

I would have to ask why you purchased those, when for a few hundred more credits you could have purchased the L59? set, I looked at your profile and you are level 85.

Just wondering what your logic behind the decision was?

Well, no where in you post you mentioned that, in fact I'd be willing to make a small wager that the majority of those who have read and/or responded to this post, thought you just got them and were dissatisfied with them.

Irregardless, I think it's time for an upgrade;)

FWIW, I used the lowest level of G10's thru Master, but soon found out when TM and tourney greens came (wasn't using good balls..) that all greens played like SA and starter clubs.

So rent the l57/58-whatever they are, G10's for a day, and put a smile on your face:)

At level 85 I wouldn't go anywhere but to TM and the Burner 2 irons. I've had them for a few weeks and they're fantastic, way better than the i15 which were also way better than the G10.  You can hit a 3 iron at the flag from 210 yards plus and with a decent ball it'll probably stop pretty quickly.  The meter is a bit faster than the G10 but slightly slower than the i15, perfectly controllable with Callaways for tourneys and bearable with Tour SD for knocking around.

These irons and a set of Cleveland wedges have made a huge difference to my game.

    And my credit balance.

That was a pretty good stop you got there J. Considering that green slopes off to the left big time. Im not sure what the green settings where, but different green speeds will have different stopping abilities, if you know what i meen. If you want maximum stopping power, try the callaways, more expensive, but you get closer to the hole when you have distances worked out.
