I spent a lot of money buying clubs and spent a lot of time practicing with my gear that I cant even use in club clash ? this has got to be a joke why do I want to use gear I don't play with ? you sure let us use the over priced ball.

First, the SOTW clubs aren't that bad. Second, playing a clash event is optional. Third, they're simply trying to do something different and make it more interesting.

While I'm not a big fan of SOTW tournaments or setups, I don't understand what the big deal is.

If people don't like it, then don't play. Other than one club, who really cares about clash events?

Heh, it does create a predicament for those that are protecting their averages after leveling up. Can't be having those scores in the history you get with inferior clubs.  :-D

Thats why its called a set of the week clash . Me personally I dont play the clashes but I do understand the concept . It to a point levels the playing field because most players will be playing with clubs they have never used before .

Although it may not change the amount of rounds that are played , it will have an effect on the scoring . It will also make the event very interesting due to lack of club knowledge . This new concept may work or it may not depends on the feed back . Play it with the rock and then its just for fun .

It's just a clash, ignore it for 2 days, it goes away

The general concept is unchanged: Pay and play as much as is necessary to score the win!

    The "interesting" facts are,

    - will the raised scores from SOTW lure anybody into the game who would otherwise fear to drop his average?

    - will the additional points (marginalised by SOTW) be correct and enough to impress more users into playing?

My  first thought is, dead on arrival!

At this point with about 14 hors to go, The Georgian has a 53,291 point lead and has not quite doubled the score of the second place club. So nothing has changed with this newly formatted  SOTW clash with its  improved (?) scoring.

Play the clashes at your own peril but know what the results will be.
