I have had many instances in the last month where after a freeze-up in alternate play, the "return to game" option would not allow me to return.
I apologize to the many players who this has alienated in recent weeks.

Also there was an instance where after a game began someone called at my door. And I was unable to return in time to resume play or give players an explanation of what had happened.

And so I have gained a greater understanding of "stuff happens" & that things are not always as they might appear.

    Thanks.

to continue in another aspect of the previous post, I would ask why, ... when a player cannot return to a game due to a glitch in the program,... why then in the player activity area would it state that golfer X & golfer Y defeated golfer A & B, ... when in fact is was a forfeit?

Would it not be more accurate to state that players X & Y won by forfeit?

I dont think players should be given credit for a win, when in actuality there was no play or virtually no substantial play, or the game was unfinished.

Call it what it was .... a forfeit.

ie: players X & Y won by forfeit over players A & B. This is accurate.

This action stated any other way implies an action that in actuality did not occur.

Perhaps a dictionary should be consulted.

Defeated and forfeit do not have the same meaning by definition.

I agree they do not but as far as the game concerned, the end result is the same. Maybe better wording could be used, but I think it will simply ad few more different scenarios which may create more instability. I do not know

Generally A/S is pretty good but sometimes it does have instabilities. Unfortunately, without reproducible reports, not much we can do until we fix the bug and fix it
