Has the Callaway ball distance been changed??  I have the level 43 callways and 93 TM driver.  Was on Olympic hole 18 and hit driver. Hit the ding and with a 8-10 mph tail wind the went 282 yrds????  Should have went well over 3 hondo. Please advise.

You`ve been playing long enough to know, so why ask ? By now you should know your clubs as well as their general distances .The fact that you hit a 280+ yard driver and the ball only went 282 yards says it all right there . Even without the tail wind the yardage should have been greater than that . How did the ball play before the 18th hole and the previous holes played ?

Is it possible that you simply didn't hit at 100%?

I had that happen to me on CCC #8-nutted a drive  with helping wind and didn't clear the trap. Total surprise, the drive only went some ridiculous low number that surprised me.

I think what happened to me also happened to you and I wouldn't put too much stock in it. We both basically caught an extreme deviation on the very edge of the circle, almost as if we chunked the drive. It only happened once to me.

Why would you even want a 300+ yard drive on Olympic # 18? All that would do is put you in the rough with a very difficult approach to the elevated green. Just take your 3 wood and hit the fairway leaving you a much easier approach shot.

I know we all think we can drive that green but from the tips and being uphill it isn't going to happen very often if at all.

Appreciate it the feedback Jim.  Other players in the alt shot game were also noticing a deviation frm the norm. I've played a couple of other games since then even a RG @ Oly and distances seem to be fine. Drive on 18# went 310yrds - hit ding again, with low tail wind this time 3-5 mph. In the fairway I might add. Might have been an anomaly as you said.

Your right, because I have been playing this game a while with stated equipment I know when something appears to be off. On a few other drives during the alt shot game, the distances were not as expected with conditions. Other players noticed distance differences too. Although it appears to be somethning specific to that game as distnace seem to be fine now.  Thanks.
