I can go to profile page, home page----any page and the google ads cover---besides the fact that GOOGLE  is the most unscrupulous AD site-and they are known for hijacking browsers-they have ruined the news other than that-- I guess I'll just wait till you fix this--then I can play again. Now I'm sure some will say just x off the ad-I do-then Google idiot ask why?-I answer and another Ad  pops up then so  on and so forth-ad infintum ad nausea-

I would suggest clearing your browser cache Lisa, CTRL + SHIFT + DELETE. Then get yourself an ad blocking extension, AdBlock or Adblock Plus are popular. Your browser may even have one built in.

The fact that those ads are where the PLAY NOW button usually is, says to me that the flash element (which is what the 'play now/friends list' is) has not even loaded into the webpage. The ads are not covering it, they have moved up the page from where they normally are, to take the place of the missing flash element.

If it keeps up. Go to the game client page directly by typing http:www.wgt.com/gameclient.aspx. I have that as my home page of the 3 browsers I use to play and never have to worry about the play now button.

Click the i in the circle on the left side of the address bar. Allow Flash for WGT.

I don't think that's the reason for the whole flash bit to be missing Jim.

That side of the page is a div element (a box essentially) with three child elements inside it, the WGT logo at the top, the play now/friends flash element and the advert underneath that. If any of the child elements are missing, the other elements move upwards to take up the empty space.

As the flash bit hasn't loaded, the advert has floated upwards to take up the empty space.

I'm reasonably sure when flash is blocked by the browser, it is prevented from running, not prevented from loading.  ; )

    ⇩ EDIT : You're welcome Lisa, thank you. : ) ⇩
