    WGTChampion:

Hello friends. PC players will be getting flash sales soon. We built the functionality into the new mobile proshop. The PC proshop has proven more difficult to add the function.

    _CHAMPION

Might not be a bad idea to advertise a coupla weeks in advance...?

Saying " 14 days and counting until 20% off all drivers" <--or whatever.

Give members a chance to churn out some rounds / buy xp boosts / drinks, so they're at the level required to purchase..

    Win, win all round  ;))

Heh, maybe that's the strategy of the sale--if there is a strategy--to drive players to the mobile platform.

    My thought, too.

I only wondered why this would be called "unfair". It's rather "business".

    Alosso,

I called it unfair because it is only offered to the mobile platform and not the PC platform.  We should all get the same benefit I think.  WGT makes money off the desktop players as well as the mobile.

And the question begs to be answered.

Can a pc player go to either blue stacks or nox and then buy?

Flash buying directly on a pc would be the preferred way, but as Champ said, it's not available that way currently, but is this a work around.

Here is the thing. Anything purchased on the mobile site that is not mobile only like the apparel can be used in the web game,. Most of us have either a smart phone or tablet or both,Just install the mobile game on your phone or tablet and any time there is a flash sale on mobile only buy what you want on the mobile game, It can be used on the web game.

Companies do target advertising all the time. Cruise lines give deals to residents from certain states. Seniors are offered discounts. Car companies offer loyalty deals to owners of their brand. Dominoes gives a free pizza to registered customers who meet spending requirements.

    Is any of this "fair"?

There are things that PC players can do that mobile players cannot, so kind of not really a fairness issue.

The 2 platforms are very different and don't necessarily allow features of the game to cross over 100% of the time.

If you have a smartphone or tablet, install the mobile game and you'll be able to take advantage of these flash sales. :)

"We should all get the same benefit I think." This may (perhaps) be true in sport and for public benefits, but companies don't have to act that way. They prefer certain people or regions or ... - no cry.

It is called "capitalism" - look it up ;)
