Just a suggestion for when they bring out some new clubs. Lets face it, some new ones are needed, Stats wise probably not much is needed but just abit of variety is needed. so my idea is this.
New Iron sets for level 110.
Taylor Made M3
Taylor Made M4
Callaway Epic's
Ping G700's
New Drivers for level 110
Taylor Made M3
Taylor Made M4
Callaway Epic Pro (Make the Epic a top end club)
Ping G400
Driving Iron for level 105
TAYLORMADE P790 UDI UTILITY IRON
Titleist 718 T-MB Utility Iron
Make it so the next set of clubs released their is different options. The stats could even be the same if they need to be to avoid upsetting a certain brand. The main point is people would prefer options plus its good to see variety of equipment and not have 90% of the top players with the same clubs in their bag.
As for Driving Irons. Lets face it hybrids are dead on here for the higher levels. Maybe bring in a Driving iron, Some might take that instead of a 3 wood if the stats are good enough.
again the main thing is choice. Even if you do limited edition version as well in different colours.
just dont bring out one new club that everyone will buy and we all have the same.
As for people who will say we dont need new clubs with scores already silly. It dont matter now, unless a major re scale is done it will never be hard to hit a fairway of the tee which is where wgt went wrong. 95% fairway accuracy was always going to lead to silly scores. Maybe make the new Drivers go further like 300 yards but instead of having a 4.5 slow meter give them a 3 instead. Make players take the risk. If you want to go far you will miss the fairways abit more.
Some people might then not choose to upgrade and play a more steady game. There isn't really any different way to play this game. In real life you get different types of players. Some just rip it off the tee, some will be steady to make sure they find the fairway more often. Of course some are great putters and thats the only real difference we have on here. Give people a new way to play, let people go for a big driver and miss the fairways abit more. Make the driving iron/ 3 wood a genuine club to use of the tee. If you start the slow decline in driver accuracy now you might just save it so in a few years time the top 3 woods would be a real option off the tee.
