Yeah, the programming leaves a bit to be desired.
We played a round yesterday where one player on the other team (supposedly) took the top 3 scores, with attendant huge multiplier affects, including one score that was more than what 9 birdies would give. However, a check of his profile page showed only 1 9-hole round played on that course and no eagles. He did have 2 18-hole rounds on that course, which makes me wonder if he's figured out a way to get Clash points from 18 holes.
Yes, I've been on the horn to CS about this. They are checking him out, they say. But he's still got a full bag of equipment today, and he's playing Full 18's on another Clash course - Best of Par 5's.
CS also says they cannot reverse any scores or points made during the Clash, which give me another wonderment: what do they mean then when they say Clash scores are not final until verified? They can "verify" that this guy didn't play the rounds he was given points for --- but wgt won't take them away. So - tis a puzzlement, eh? And for a reason I had not realized before, brings all the clashes under a certain amount of suspicion.
Wish I had his hack. (Although I was offered a Super Pass option by wgt at the start of an ALT SHOT match today --- maybe I should have taken them up on it!)
Cheers,
