I'm curious as to how many withdrawals there's been, there may well be a far greater percentage of the field completed their rounds than the 92 posted scores so far.

It was a tough 18 holes, as I expected, with 12-18 feet birdie opportunities few and far between for me on the front 9. The game becomes way harder when the normal birdie opportunities are from 25 feet + on championship greens.

I really enjoyed it despite being level par on the 13th tee and wondering if I was going to manage a sub par round. It did however feel like I was walking on egg shells from 1st shot til last, fearful of a missed fairway or a nasty bounce. One blessing I did get was an excellent meter throughout. Same conditions for round 2 please :^)

As far as i knew it tiffer, WD's showed up straight away on the leaderboard, and if i am correct there has'nt been a single WD yet..quite remarkable really!!

As for the course it-self, it was brutal !! my plan was to avoid bogeys and worse at all costs and just hope n pray for few birdie putts to drop, luckily enough the ol putter was working well and finished up with a 62..

After playing the course i believe kam will hold the lead after round 1..just cannot see a 59 coming in..but who knows?!?!  there's still a few of the big hitters to give it a lash yet

I'm afraid my chance of winning (ha ha) has gone after an amazing 10 shots

on #9 after being 40 ft from the hole after 2 shots. I was in the valley to the right of green 3 times and only one was because I didn't hit the chip/flop out of it hard enough.

by the way, watch those flops into the wind as they are going much further than expected.

I don't think they do Steve. There were a couple of players who admitted to withdrawing from the US Open during round 1 and it never showed up on the leaderboard at that time. Certainly if you completed round 1 and then withdrew during round 2 it showed. Great score btw and I agree I doubt there will be more than a couple of players at most registering a lower score than Kams', if any at all....

Greats rounds from Funkyjunkie and StonecoldKiller going under 60. I wasn't sure it was going to happen but it has. Well done. Great shooting as well to the people sitting 3-4 back heading into rd 2. Quite impressive, that there seems to be not alot of WDs as 140 people posted (esp in these conditions). (Not sure if WDs show up). Best of luck in round 2 everyone and hopefully those putters are working.
