    Hello everyone

Total newb question; when you get stuck in a "rough" and it says it's a "23-30%" lie, what does that mean? How to you adjust your shot from that? Hit that percentage MORE? Please help!

    Thanks.

    kullboys:
    what does that mean?

First, it means that the ball is embedded by that much in the ground. You can't translate it into meter power by the number.

    Second, shots are shorter.

Third, longer clubs may not work well from there. In case of doubt, take an iron. In serious case of doubt, take a wedge!

Last one of these starter thoughts: Consider to punch - it's a more robust shot!

Also realize you cannot impart backspin so your ball will carry, and carry, and carry....!
