  I have played this game for about two months now and have always played the lie %'s based on feel. It has worked out pretty good for me, but now I would like to start getting a more accurate shot.

  Could you please give me some tips on how to hit better shots from the rough and bunkers please? Are there mathematic approaches to hitting your shots more accurate? Is it as simple as a lie being 30-40% and taking that percentage off your clubs distance. I know from playing that if it's 40-50% your club isn't going to make it go very far without punching it. I have been struggling with the the 30-40% distance a lot recently. 

  I use the master g10 irons and L30's Z wedges if that is needed to be known.

  This is kinda an open question which a complex answer. Simple answer is, anything over 30./40 sand requires wedges to be hit out. anything in rough loses spin and anything with 30/40+ rough requires clubbing up.

  Best advice I can give you is trial and error. Hit in a rough spot and then hit to the green, see what happens and then make adjustments and try again.

  Each course plays different and each club plays different too.
