    MickAnderson:

For what it's worth, I think that people who quit on multi-player stroke games should be penalized pro-rata.  For example, players who get a double bogey on the third hole and go to +2 while everyone else is at E or -1, and get frustrated and quit - they should be credited with a +6 round (or +12 if it's an 18 hole game).

Too many player padding their average by quitting games early if they're having a bad round.  If you sign up for a game, play your round.  Quitting not only allows players to pad their scores, but it lets down the rest of your party who are trying to play a group game.  Golf can turn around dramatically in a hole or two.  Man up and play your round.

    That's my $0.02 anyway ......

    Hi Mick

Ta for comment, but I'm not sure who it's addressed to. DrShard finished his round, and so did I eventually once it was explained that I could.  We got disconnected. He says it wasn't him, I know it wasn't me. I didn't realise I could continue solo once the other players had bailed (or appeared to) a multiplayer-game.

*** happens but it's sorted. No biggie. Thanks anyway

Mr. Anderson, that sounds like a great idea.If you join a game, finish the dern thing. If you are the type to quit because you want to keep your average down, then play by yourself.Nothing more frustrating than someone starting with a group and then quits because he shot a bogey.Hell i shoot bogeys every game I play , almost.Makes for great practice to try and come back after a bad hole or two anyway.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Badputter,so you did figure out how to keep your game when something like that does happen?I know you didn't quit that game, hell we were both shooting two under after like hole five or six.It was a close game so we will have to settle it with another one,no?
