Playing a guy and this happened to him: looks like ball is on fringe/green, lie is 40-50%

I've seen that before ... greenside and along the fairway. All i could ever figure was that maybe the ball had rolled right up to rough. Depending on the angle, you'd be hitting through the rough if that were the case.

I think the graphics overlay does not mesh up with the actual game mapping sometimes. I've seen the opposite on some fairways... it looks like I'm in the rough, but it shows fairway on the lie indicator. I always trust the lie indicator....
