    WGTicon:

    Hi

I believe it states in email:

     * One-time offer is available to WGT players who purchase 2,000 or more WGT credits from Thu 8/11/11 to Sun 8/14/11 and will receive 500 additional WGT credits at no charge.

    -

    sorry for the confusion.

And if you don't have the little box checked in your profile to "Receive WGT updates and news"  you don't get that e-mail.  Your only source is then the News Blog which does NOT say

    * One-time offer is available to WGT players who purchase 2,000 or more WGT credits from Thu 8/11/11 to Sun 8/14/11 and will receive 500 additional WGT credits at no charge.

You forgot to include your fine print details in the News Blog so your announcements are inconsistent.

Get 500 extra credits for PGA Championship Weekend

    11 Aug 2011

It's PGA Championship weekend, and golf's fourth major includes 100 top-ranked golfers from around the world.

Who will join Charl Schwartzel, Rory McIlroy and Darren Clarke as major champions in 2011? Will Europe continue to dominate. You have to like Australia's chances with Adam Scott and Jason Day who were so close at the Masters. Or will an American finally break thru this year, like Bubba, Rickie Fowler, Dustin Johnson, Matt Kuchar or Nick Watney. And don't count out Phil or Tiger.

One interesting storyline is Chubby Chandler, golf's new super agent, with three of his clients already winning 2011 majors, putting him in position for the "Chubby Slam" by having another client win at the PGA. His other clients include Lee Westwood, Louis Oosthuizen and Ernie Els, so Chubby has a chance.

We're celebrating golf's fourth major at World Golf Tour this wekeend by giving away 500 extra WGT Credits when you buy $20 or more WGT credits, anytime during the PGA Championship, from Thursay 8/11 thru Sunday 8/14. Buy your WGT credits here.

There are more ways then ever to use WGT credits...

Enter the NKF Cadillac Golf Classic on WGT, with proceeds benefiting the National Kidney Foundation, and one random winner getting a dream golf trip to Pebble Beach.

Check-out the new WGT Putter Pal to help fine-tune your virtual putting.

Visit the WGT Pro Shop for all the latest virtual balls and clubs from Callaway, Cleveland, PING, SRIXON and TaylorMade.

Play in daily Ready-Go Tournaments on WGT, where the top 30 of 50 win credits, on championship courses like Congressional, Royal St George's, Bethpage and St Andrews

    Enjoy the weekend!

    WGT

As I said, the wording used in the e-mail is open to interpretation:  "One-time offer" says the offer is not going to happen again.  And the offer is "buy 2,000 or more WGT credits from Thu 8/11/11 to Sun 8/14/11 and will receive 500 additional WGT credits at no charge."  Restrictions in ads must be clear.

Its not going to cost WGT anything to fix this,  Just credits!  To me its a no brainer decision for WGT.

The OP should e-mail members@worldgolftour.com and state their case.

TBF. The words 'one-time offer' don't cut the mustard either. I bet a lawyer would take that apart.

It could be defined as an offer that WGT are not going to repeat again, and it only applies over a four day period. It does not mean that people can't buy as many credits as they wish during these four days with multiple bonus credits.

It doesn't necessarlly mean, this offer can only be used ONCE, or only a maximum of one gift of 500 credits per player can be claimed in this offer. Much better wording for next time.

Or let people get the bonus multiple times, more money for you. They will be hifting the purchases or spending them. What's the issue? If it was a multiple offer, I probably would have spent double TBH.

    A point for the future.

When I saw the promotion while on and playing WGTsite can you tell me why I would even think to leave site ,go check email and then return to site where promotion was posted.

I may not be the brightest person around but that just does not make sense to me but it must to WGT as I have still not received the additional 500 credits
