I have yet to see any ball spin so far. I don't expect any spin on STA or RSG but i thought i would get some on the other courses. Occasionally the ball will jump back but not spin. Am i expecting too much from the clubs i have?

    In my bag.

    R9 Irons Level 53

    54W Z Satin Level 14

    60W Z Satin Level 14

Having said that i am not sure my game is up to too much spin :-/

Edit: Oops forgot to add i am using the Callaway i(s) balls.

What are you thinking you should get? That Satin 60 will spin back a Tour-SD ball- it has ever since it came out. (Replay on profile.) If you're looking for that ridiculous high gear reverse that the CGs lay on a ball that won't happen either. You have good clubs and with the Callaway s ball you should have pretty good control over your landings. TBH, being able to stick a shot is much more beneficial than trying to figure out how to compensate for huge reverse landings.

Maybe you do expect too much but that why I asked what you think you should be getting, or be able to do.

The only time you get spin is when you don't want it.

I would bet, if you tried, you could spin it back on BPB #13 with a front right hole placement from say 50 to 30 yrds to go.

It may come down to the level of your wedges. But YJ is correct. It's hard to calculate just how much bs you're going to get. Much easier to calculate exact yardage and sticking it.

    Thanks for the reply YankeeJim.

Not having played as many rounds as some on here i am not really sure what to expect. I did think that i would get a little backspin. Certainly not a substantial amount just a little with the lower level satin. As you say getting the ball to stick is a more advantageous outcome allowing me to judge distances a lot better. It is just i have seen some replays that show backspin but have yet to see any on my shots even with a full shot dinged with full bs with the 60W.

    Thanks again

Thanks DarSum i am absolutely certain if i do chance to get some spin it will spin into a bunker or something.

I just thought with 3 1/2 dots of spin on both the wedge and ball i would get some spin. I suppose i should be thankful i am not getting any.

I see what it is, man. I looked at what you have and will tell you the 3 1/2 dots is great but the 2 dots in precision takes away from that. Here's something I think will get you exactly what you want and not cost you a fortune. Swap the 2 Satins you have for the  64w(60 yds) and the 60w (77 yds). I guarantee you will be spinning off greens. Those 2 wedges alone will improve your short game dramatically and you'll be amazed at how accurate you can get with them. Look at the precision. In fact, the CGs are killer wedges but a lot of guys keep that 64w because of its ease and accuracy.

After you get over your new excitement maybe consider dropping the HB and adding the 90 yard Satin. (That wedge is the best of all the Satins, IMO. )  I carried those 3 wedges for almost 2 years and think you will be very happy with them.  GL

Thanks mate. I take it you mean the Satin 60W (L39+) and the CG 64W (L31+).

As for the HB there is not many times i use it so it is mostly superfluous, apart from the occasional long par 3.

I'd match the Satins up. The CG 64W goes 10 yards further than the Satin 64W . If you're worried about coverage, with the Satin 64W you would have a 41 punch, 50 full and then with the 60W you would have a 63 punch and 77 full.  41  50  63  77  is a good spread, especially if you have the ability to stop them dead, which you will with the Callaway s ball. The CG 64W punches 50 and 60 full so you can see where they sort of bump into each other if you mix it with the Satin 60W.
