Have just noticed that when you look/ browse the players in a country club, and then go back to their club site, a request to join that club is sent automatically. Therefore if look at a few players, you end up sending multiple request to join?
Would seem counter productive, would think a few owners would get annoyed at multiple requests, and would make the player requesting look a bit desperate.
