These wedges spin back with TOPSPIN, i only use half back spin if ever i use spin, any thing more and its turbo reverse 8 yards back.

This is exactly what I discovered the first time I used the wedges. What I just discovered is that it doesn't do this with full back spin. See the pictures in the OP. Partial spin is another story.

@DS-It doesn't "zip" back but it does back up a few feet. Those 2 pics were both dinged full bs shots.Topspin stops it from doing that but choking that club without spin is the best way I've found to use it. Heh-you already know that but I'm really interested in what you find.

Well the 64 must behave completely different than the 60. I don't have the 64, only the 60.

KIA #1 wind 2mph in my face

I hit 2 full shots with full bs. Ball landed at 74 yrds and backed up to 63 yrds. 11 yrds of bs.

I hit 2 full shots with 1/2 bs. Ball landed at 76 yrds and backed up to 71 yrds. 5 yrds of bs.

STA #3 wind 12mph  in my face

2 fulls shots with full bs. Same results for both. Ball landed at 82 yrds backed up to 71 yrds

2 full shots with 1/2 bs. Same for both. Ball landed 84 backed up to 78.

All those were with the Legend z balls. Not the s.

Very interesting, I play the callaway(s) regular balls and get a much shorter shot with hardly any back up with full backspin but around 5yds with half backspin. If it gives a consistent yardage, the full 64deg full backspin might be a pretty useful shot.

Left: full backspin, Right half: backspin. Same 8mph crosswind and both balls touched down in pretty much the same spot.

Oiy Vay!  Totally different club, DS. The 80W backs up in any scenario. Put yourself 80 away on SA#2 and hit that with full backspin then watch it roll back up the hill.

This is about the CG64W and I'm surprised you don't have it.  ;-)

@mo-You are so right about that full bs discovery.

The only place i dare use full back spin is on approach at St. Andrews #2 to land on slope then get nice roll to hill.  (But full spin when you play short shots around green doesn't seem to effect the ball like a full swing shot of higher yardage)

I agree with YJ, the 64 D CG has different characteristics than the 60.  I treat them differently with regards to spin.  The 60 has high spin.  The 64 is omg!-level spin.  C
