saw an ad on Facebook this morning about 2x offers thru the weekend but didnt see any mention on this home page or in the offers tab it is not showing the slashed coin value with the 2x reward amount shown I've seen before?

Yep I don't think so either. I did a survey yesterday after the promotion started and definitely did not get 2x credits.
