Re: Meter more sensitive in master mode?

  Since moving from Pro to Master in the last few days, I've noticed a big difference in forgiveness if I don't stop the meter at the center (what I call DSP, or dead solid perfect). I use the same irons (Ping Raptures) as in the Pro mode, although I have changed drivers (from the Ping Rapture to the Master R9). Stopping the meter one side or the other brings about a HUGE difference in my aim point. I understand my problem with the driver (extremely fast meter speed)....but why are my irons not as forgiving as before?

   

  To clarify my question....in Master mode, is the meter placement/stoppage less forgiving than in Pro mode?

  i too would like to know, as i just turned master and with my raptures i feel the same way. struggling to get under par

  Hi guys,

  As far as I know, nothing changes to clubs between tiers; however, your holes may become longer, green maybe faster, so those mistakes to not hitting club perfectly, will be much more pronounced.

  Joel, it's called increased VEM, or shot randomness. As you lower your average, the VEM get's increased, which simply means your mistakes will become more prevalent.
