  I haven't even played yet with the new update, and just from looking at the change they made, I know I will be very very happy with this change.

   I have to third the kudos on the flag option .... that's just awesome. .... Now if i could just remember to pull it.

  Thank heavens. The previous way of pulling flag was disrupting preparations for pretty much every approach shot & putt I made.

  (Still, why not implement some keyboard shortcuts in this game, too? Press the F key: pull flag. Press it again: replace it. Press the 4 arrow keys – move your aim around. Etc., etc.)
