I'm an overrated tour pro unhappy with my clubs.  I'm using the ping g10.  One problem is there are several long par fours where i can'td reach in regulation.  I would like to get a new set but have no idea what to select.  I need a moderate meter speed since i am somewhat long in the tooth and don't have the relfexes of you youngsters.  so if any of you have any suggestions i would appreciate it.

My husband uses the lvl 47-49? rapture set.. the irons are 110pw up to 200 3i.  He recently moved up to update to a higher driver when moving to Master (the Rapture set that he had was with a 255yrd driver) .. I mention all of this because I believe the iron set of the raptures have the highest of the med/high trajectory with by far the lowest meter speed for that level of irons.  The irons I use (lvl 17) Burner 2.0s have a pretty slow meter speed too with the same range as the raptures mentioned.  More spin with them too but they don't get as high, so I really need that extra spin and better balls to get it to stop well some greens).

The Rapture Driver for around 47-49 is 255yds but a great meter speed if that is your problem.  Best of luck to you.

SInce you're level 88 I'm inclined to say go for the R11 driver and Burner 2 irons.  You may find the irons a bit quicker than you're used to so the L59 G10 irons are another option, fine clubs that will still work when you're a legend.  There's also a higher level G10 driver.

The Burners do seem to have their quirks though, sometimes missing the ding very slightly will send the ball way off line or leave you way short of the target.  This seems to be due to the spin they generate, playing with Callaway S balls means a mis-hit will be severely punished.  If you use something with less spin they seem more forgiving.

My personal experience is that they really do have good and bad days, I use the same ball for all tournaments and sometimes the irons are great, other times they land the ball 30 yards short.  When they work well they're brilliant, you can hit a 3 iron 210 yards onto a green and the ball will stop quickly, no other irons will do that for you.

You'll likely get lots of different advice, all well intended, but at the end of the day what works for me or someone else may not be right for you.  If you have the credits rent first but play as many rounds as you can to get a feel for the clubs.

I see you are playing the WGT balls.  A Callaway ball will slow the meter down and give you more distance.  C

From Tour Pro tees with G10s you should be able to reach any green in regulation with Dove balls, except maybe BpB #7 and Cong #11.
If you want more distance then get the R11 driver (same speed as G10) and/or get better balls. No need to upgrade your irons imho. Good luck :)

R11 driver and woods. Irons either the Burners (Level 79) or G10 (Level 59). You still have a few tiers to conquer. Either of these sets will take you a long way - the Burners the longest. You're used to a fast meter, then no problem with the Burners.
