I think i remember writing a post years ago about combating auto dingers.
Based on the assumption that they work using a timer(?), then i suggested that WGT could put a very slight, but variable, delay, between when you release and when the meter actually starts to move. I am only talking in 10ths or even 100ths of a second, but it would still be enough to deny a perfect ding every shot to a timed auto dinger programme.
Of course if they don't use a timer, but some other method, then that idea is redundant.
Also, maybe it's just my cynical mind, but anytime i have noticed a request asking for a ball with high specs, distance, spin, but no reduction in meter speed, at a lower price, it makes me think, well, maybe they don't have to worry about a slower meter if they are guaranteed to ding it anyway.
