First, check out your account tab to see what you really received. Often enough, WGT gives away ball effects(!) - they don't show in the inventory but during games or in the game client.
I don't know what your "meter" reference means. Please explain.
Perhaps it's a Putting Pal or Shot Pal? They only appear in the game. To put them in action, look above or below the left end of the meter bar, or in the game settings.
