Since no one else is contributing to the Random Acts of Kindness, I have another one for today. This is a really good one:
I was a cop for 38 years so this one was really hard for me. I was walking down a street near my home in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The City maintenance crew had put notices on all the cars parked on the entire street (30 cars), informing of the next day being a no parking zone for the block and that tickets will be issued for parked vehicles. Me, being the greatest person in Winnipeg, against my police intuition, I removed all the notices from all 30 cars. Heck, these people should not have the hassle of looking for alternative parking far away from their homes. The story is not over of my kindness: Next day: those 30 cars all had parking tickets on them. I went out of my way to remove the parking tickets from under their wipers and threw them all away. I felt really good to help the people of that entire block. Unfortunately I could not do anything about this > next day tow trucks came and towed all the vehicles away. I feel bad, but I did everything I could to help those people. I mean, what more could I have done?
