I’ve introduced a 30% tariff on anyone outside my hometown who tries to sell me anything. It should have been a 60% tariff but i was feeling generous. I used to pay £100 a week for my shopping, but i now only pay £130 a week when i should really be making myself pay £160.

Normally, I would have some  " tongue in cheek " reply but, I've found that it interferes with my drinking.

    Doc :)

Since no one else is contributing to the Random Acts of Kindness, I have another one for today.  This is a really good one:

I was a cop for 38 years so this one was really hard for me.  I was walking down a street near my home in Winnipeg, Manitoba.   The City maintenance crew had put notices on all the cars parked on the entire street (30 cars), informing of the next day being a no parking zone for the block and that tickets will be issued for parked vehicles.   Me, being the greatest person in Winnipeg, against my police intuition, I removed all the notices from all 30 cars.  Heck, these people should not have the hassle of looking for alternative parking far away from their homes.   The story is not over of my kindness:   Next day:   those 30 cars all had parking tickets on them.  I went out of my way to remove the parking tickets from under their wipers and threw them all away.    I felt really good to help the people of that entire block.   Unfortunately I could not do anything about this >  next day tow trucks came and towed all the vehicles away.   I feel bad, but I did everything I could to help those people.   I mean, what more could I have done?

On March 20, 2023 I posted this:  Unfortunately I never made it back to AZ.

The Famous Paul (pdb1) and me (Henry Kawa) met in person in Phoenix AZ.  We went for a  nice breakfast and talked about many WGT events from the past, present and future.     It was a great breakfast meeting and I look forward to next year when we can meet up again.   Maybe someone else from WGT is around the Phoenix area that can join us next year.
