Good morning everyone. I hope you all are doing well and are remaining safe and healthy.

Unless I am mistaken, today is the BIG day... the eTour Grand Finals. There has not been much said regarding this event from WGT themselves. From watching various streams on Tiwtch, there seems to be quite a bit of interest by many players.

From everything I have watched and gathered over the past few weeks, the Grand Finals will take place TODAY ( 01/20/21 ) . I am not 100% on the time. I want to say 11 am EST was the last I heard through the grapevine.

Again, from what I have heard, the Grand Finals will be a Bracket style tournament stemming from the Seeding Tournament held recently. Meaning it will be like the NCAA tournament...

    #1 versus #8

    #2 versus #7

    #3 versus #6

    #4 versus #5

Please do not hold me to this as I am not 100%. But if this is the format, there are some fantastic early matches. From the Seeding Tournament standings, and using the previously mentioned format, that would mean...

    #1 Walkoflife v. #8 Fmagnets

    #2 Young46 v. #7 Simovoice

    #3 Boyet10659 v. #6 Shefuf

    #4 Jsmithers v. #5 Golfx3.

Rumor has it Payton has been training in a secluded area of Russia while listening to the Eye of the Tiger.

Will the Cobra Kai hold true to their No Mercy Mantra?

Did I mention there is $50,000 up for grabs?

EDIT: (Matches will be shown on the eTour YouTube Channel)

Looking forward to seeing everyone in chat cheering on their favorites.

If anyone has confirmation and/or additional information, please do not hesitate to add to this thread.

Quite amazing that there's not a single official announcement/news article about the biggest event in WGT history so far (apart from one tweet on the eTour Twitter account that no one but a few thousand bots follows). I think the eTour was a great chance to broaden the audience for these things, but unfortunately no one really cared about doing the bare minimum to get the word out.

I agree. One has to do some active search to find out. This info should be properly promoted in all channels available. The marketing behind this is quite bad.

It is sad that this event was given zero promotion. Seems like WGT has no leadership at the moment.

There happens to be a live TV event here in the States that IMO, is much more important than the same players playing each other in some Tourney.

Must not be too important to you as you found yourself posting to this thread.

Seriously, it's called multitasking... doing multiple things at the same time. There's no reason why someone cannot watch both events. Jesus H.

There has not been much of any announcements since flash left.  It's almost like there is nobody around anymore.

Hope someone remembered to turn the lights off, when they all left the building.  And don't blame it on Covid.
