JDGHOST:Right Scott.... when click the Emoji's or the "Windows + Period" nothing comes up anymore?
You could try changing your input language to something other than English (US). Maybe try English (UK), reboot your PC, then change it back to English (US) to see if that fixes it.
To change your input language, hold down the Windows key and press the spacebar, you should see a little window pop up and every time you hit the spacebar the language pop up will highlight a different language option (provided you have more than one language installed).
