  I played a rated game back 9 of St Andrews and my drive hit the green, it was a short par 4 with a tailwind, and then rolled off the back.  Total drive was 369.  My current long drive is 363.  The 369 yard drive did not post as my longest drive, anyone know why?  I didnt hit the fairway, but I hit the green before it went in the rough.  I am asking more to find out what the criteria is to register a long drive.

  For a drive to count it must stop on the fairway,  green, or in the hole.

  Obviously, no count in the rough etc.

  Less obviously, no count(!) on the fringe!!
