    Hey WGT,

How about offering a premium monthly match play tournament?  Every month WGT offers a monthly multi-round for 100 credits.  I was thinking that a monthly match play tourny could be enacted in a similar fashion by combining aspects of RG's and the monthly multi-round.

Here's how; During the first week and sign up period once you sign up and pay you can play your round (an entire round like stroke play).  Once the sign up period closes you are randomly assigned an opponent and a bracket is set up.  The scorecards are then matched against each other to determine who won using match play scoring standards.  The winner of the match moves to the next round to be played during the second week of the month.  The third week of the month would be shortened so that the last week of the month could include any extra matches that may be needed to determine First, Second, and Third place.  Any halved matches in any week will be granted an extra 48hrs to play another full round of sudden death.

It is just an idea and can be tweaked but I think it would be a lot of fun.

The whole point of Matchplay is that it is a one on one contest. I see no point in playing solo and relying on the luck of the draw to see if you continue or not. Might as well toss a coin.
