    COME ON..

I've hit 2nd shots from this same basic location a dozen or more times in the past.. even some that were further in and off the fairway from this.. are you kidding me?  What has changed to make this a lost ball?

I won't even go into the reason that I hit it wide.. but damn.  How many others here have hit here only to take a shot from here on the approach??

Do you have gorse bushes in the states? I wouldn't want to put my hand in there. :-)

Nothing's changed. Whenever I have the misfortune of landing in that nasty stuff, even a little bit within it's grasp, I have kissed the ball goodbye. You can land in the sand further right, or in the "short" rough just to the left of where you were, but when your in that stuff, it's gone.

Sorry, and try to have a nice day.

I was playing in a competition against Miokontic once and he landed his ball right in the middle of that lot. He was given a 30% rough sign despite his avatar being completely out of sight from all angles. He won the game by one shot, I was not amused.

Uncle WGT took 2 new Callies away from me yesterday in this same bush. Should start looking like a grossly over decorated xmas tree by now.

I've landed the ball all in this stuff and always taken a thick rough shot.. most of the shots were much deeper into it.  If it were sand, wouldn't it give me a lie of sand and not rough?  I will certainly have a nice day though.

Edit to clarify:  I didn't really mean, "was there a game change that changed this shot to a lost ball vs what I usually get".. it was more a wtf, huh type question.

I suppose that anything is possible here on WGT, that's for sure. I guess I have never been that fortunate to be able to play, even with a bad lie when landing in that stuff. It is good to know that in some cases all is not lost when landing over there. Maybe I'll get lucky one day, better still, keep clear of it all together is probably a better solution.

    Thanks.

there's absolutely no way you're hitting a shot from inside a gorse bush lol. they're like the Jackson 5 hairdo's with thousands of needles with solid immovable branches.

you'd be lucky to find it in there and even when you went in after it you can bet your life you'll be picking a ton of needles out your hands...arms..legs and a$$ for days.

i had the misfortune of falling backwards into one of them devils from 6 feet up and was unable to sit comfortably for a week.

only bonus here is that whilst looking for your ball, you find 30 others. :)
