I assume you mean the Windows 11 update.

Windows 11 will not work with many programs and apps, including, it seems, WGT.  Windows 11 does not support "drag & drop" or a 2 in 1 tablet (when going from PC to Tablet mode, it stays in PC mode).

Once windows 11 is installed, you have 11 days to reinstall Windows 10 from your saved files. If you do not reinstall Windows 10 within the 11 days, it is automatically removed from you PC. If that is the case, you will need to make a bootable thumb drive with Windows 10, which you can do from Microsoft website, set your PC to boot from USB drive and restart using the Windows 10 install you downloaded.  WGT should then work again.

I am sure, if any of this is incorrect, someone will correct. I am in no way a computer genius but, in my case, Windows 11 was causing the problem and, besides, I need my drag and drop!!

If you are talking about the WGT update that went down Wednesday morning have you tried reinstalling the launcher?

I have not loaded W-11 nor do I intend to until they get all the bugs out.  MS likes to use us as their test bed proto-type guinea pigs.

Still have W10.  I found a way to fix the problem though.  I went to task manager, right clicked on "golf.exe" and hit maximize.  Presto.

I totally remove the golf launcher from windows, and steam, reloaded.  Repeated 3 times after rebooting PC.  No luck.

Work around:   I went to task manager, right clicked on "golf.exe" and hit maximize.  Presto.

That's great you got it to work but, still, problem not resolved.  I do remember reading a thread where someone else was having a similar problem. Through much discussion, I believe ScottHope was able to guide the member (who was having the problem) and they were able to resolve it, once and for all.

Unless Scott reads this and chimes in, I would suggest posting a comment on his page asking for help.  The dude knows what he's doing!!

Unfortunately, removing the launcher does just that, it uninstalls the launcher, not the game itself.

For starters, try a reset to see if that sorts your issue.
