  We have seen five courses out of the six , so in my opinion it has been better. The last few clashes were very repetitive . I don’t see how conditions could be different during the clash as all clubs need to have a degree of sameness, but I am no smartarse computer programmer.

  We finally got Oakmont in round 10, but haven’t seen Torrey.  Still, a better mix than usual.  I hope it will help when par 5’s or WC are in the mix so that no club gets too much more than their share of eagle holes.  We’ll see……but good start, WGT.

  Not to be a curmudgeon, but adding extra courses just creates more unfair variables.  Anyway, we have only seen 4 courses, so no change.

  When is WGT going to fix the AS problems that have been thoroughly documented?

  I don't understand.  What unfair variables are being created by adding 2 more possible courses to the mix?

  Two notable things for me , it was more enjoyable having greater variety even though we only had five courses. And secondly it has made me more familiar with Torrey Pines which I rarely played until this clash. The greater variety meant I played both nights and days and therefore it has achieved what could be said to be the aim.

  Adding more courses didn't change the distribution for our club. 

  We ended up playing Oakmont 4 times and Merion 2 times of the total of 9 clashes played. 

  Saw Bethpage, Olympic and Torrey Pines once each.  

  Nice to add more courses but the end result was still the same, IMO - an uneven distribution of courses.

  I am not complaining about more course variety.  I used to complain to myself about same courses over and over.  But it does make the team standings more random than they already were.
