I have unloaded and redownloaded the IOS app. Everything on phone and app are up to date. Yet when I go to sign in, same password as on here, so it is correct. It shows a spinning ball for a brief moment than nothing. Please advise.

It sounds like you have a network issue. First thing to try is to restart your modem and or router.
